Double Trio

Along West Park
Is lots of tree bark
Children playing in sand

Filled with toys
Lots of little boys
Having fun with their hands

Reflection

As I have come to complete my poems, I have realized a lot about myself. I enjoyed this project more than any other project we have received in the past. I believe it is easier to write poems than write other things. Writing poems seemed difficult in the beginning, but I came to the conclusion that it was rather easy. I think that my favorite poem was my manipulative poem. It seems to me it was very creative and well written. I would prefer to write poems that are borrowed. They seem to get me started on an idea of what to write about. I learned that I am good at writing poems, when in the beginning I thought I couldn’t do it. I enjoyed the whole project and the different ways we got to do it. I think this overall blog shows that I interpret good ideas into my head.

Sensory Poem

I can see the clouds rolling over my head
Raindrops start to drop on my skin
I taste them on my tongue
I smell the fresh air as i sniff
Thunder overtakes my ears
It puts happiness in my heart
Thunderstorms

Art Response Poem

Looking at the flowers
I picture myself in a meadow

I wish to be there
Instead of here

The meadow..

The peaceful place
Where worries are unthinkable

The meadow..
Oh how I love the meadow

Manipulative Poem

She hears his voice
As she runs away
She clears her throat
Thinking of what to say

The Marriage she's always dreamed of
Is now completely over
She sits on a rock
Looking at a four-leaf clover

Four Leaf Clover 09

Borrowed Poem

Borrowed from Adrian Henri

Well I woke up this mornin'
It was Christmas Day
I couldn't believe it
He had already come and come and gone away

I scurried down the stairs
To see the presents under the tree
Wondering in my mind
What he could have brought for me
